October as Amazon hits record high
The Nasdaq Composite gets a boost from Amazon and Apple to post an eight-day winning streak, its longest since October.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500, however, close slightly lower after a late-day decline.
The S&P 500 remains less than 1 percent away from a record high, however.
