S&P 500 notches 4-day losing streak in volatile session as rates hit multiyear highs
The benchmark 10-year Treasury note yield rose to its highest level since 2011, before slipping. The longer-term 30-year bond yield also reached its highest mark since 2014.
The rise in bond yields led to a volatile session in stocks, with the S&P 500 trading in a 0.81 percent range. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also swung more than 200 points intraday.
